Our School Ethos and Christian Values

Our School Ethos

At St Alban’s CofE Academy we work hard to achieve the following six Christian values:

"Forgiveness" : We forgive because we know we will be forgiven. ‘Be compassionate and kind to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.’ Ephesians 4:32

"Friendship" : True friendship enables us all to grow respecting and supporting each other. ‘If one falls down, a friend can lift him up.’ Ecclesiastes 4:10

"Justice" : Always treat people as we would expect to be treated ourselves – respectfully and equally. ‘Deal with everyone fairly and never show partiality to one group above another.’ Exodus 23:2-6

"Perseverance" : We understand that life is sometimes difficult and that it is important not to give up. ‘Through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.’ Romans 15:4

"Thankfulness" : Thankfulness has always been at the centre of the life and worship of God’s people. ‘Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Trust" : Trust is the very essence of faith and is essential to our lives. Jesus’ words to his disciples: ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.’ John 14:1
