At St Alban’s C of E Academy PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education ) and RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) enables children to develop a strong sense of themselves and their place in the world around them. Through the delivery of age appropriate learning experiences, we aim to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to face the challenges of life in the 21st century. PSHE/RSE covers a wide range of topics including drug and alcohol education, emotional health and well-being, personal finance, nutrition and physical activity, careers education and RSE (Relationships and Sex education).
PSHE is an opportunity for teachers and classes to develop their relationships through circle time and through honest conversations in an environment where children feel safe and secure. These sessions can be used to address issues that arise in school and in the world news. This is vital to give our children an understanding of the rapidly changing world we live in and to face it with confidence and due consideration.
